Challenge
The client is a start-up with angel investment funding bringing an MVP solution to market. The client defined a business vision, value proposition and high-level set of features. These needed to articulated, prototyped and then tested for product-market fit.
The client sought to help urban residents find trusted tradespeople and increase certainty around cost and time of arrival through an uber-like experience.
Approach
Sprint to MVP
The solution was designed through a series of iterative design sprints, working in tandem with a visual designer. Each design sprint examined a major feature, and built upon the learnings of previous sprints.
The Design Sprint
On Mondays and Tuesdays, I researched competitors, interviewed users, and created user flows and low fidelity wireframes. On Wednesdays, the visual designer created the high fidelity wireframes. Over Thursday and Friday, I created prototypes and conducted usability tested. On Friday afternoons, I documented the sprint’s learnings and these were presented to the client for feedback.
